SRDF/Asynchronous
Hello,
I have a few technical questions regarding SRDF/Asynchronous.
Firstly, what are the standards required for successful implementation of SRDF/A in terms of distance, cables, speed, RTT etc.
Secondly, what are the existing buffers (I've heard there are 4) in SRDF/A?
Thankyou!

Firstly, this post is not a substitute for proper due diligence and planning for an SRDF/A implementation. You should consult your local Dell EMC account team for professional advice if you are considering an SRDF/A.
SRDF/A theoretically has no distance limit.
Primarily, you do need the link bandwidth to be at least the size of your peak host write throughput. Compression can help reduce the link requirements. The SRDF connectivity guide will help you here
When you are asking about buffers, I'm not sure what you mean. SRDF/A can be run from the array via FC or GIGE. Both have a flow control mechanism to keep the link busy. SRDF over GIGE has a number of concurrent TCP connections. Maybe this is what you are asking about in terms of buffers?
The number of concurrent TCP connections is the product of the number of SRDF GIGE ports configured on each array.
