Hi,
Yes 5773 to 5874 SRDF is possible.
See Knowledgebase article emc211857 for more information.
At your code levels it would be recommended to update.

Steve,
my clarification was whether VMAX-1 (5874) to (DMX4-24 (5773) possible?
Hi,
Fair enough, it may not be clear but my understanding of "Full Support" is bidirectional with the functionality of the lower code.
Steve
Possible.

Saurabh Rohilla
It is possible. I have the same configuration..

Hi Wishtober,,
SRDF replication is possible only if both Symmetrix have same Enginuity Microcode level, but On the EMC support Matrix SRDF is possible if DMX has 5773 and VMAX have 5874. So for your question the answer is YES, Symmetrix Remote Data Facility Replication is Possible ...
R22 volumes must reside in a Symmetrix VMAX system running Enginuity version 5874
or higher. The R11 and R21 volumes can reside in a Symmetrix DMX system running Enginuity
version 5773.

where did you get that from ? I replicate from 71 to 73 , 73 to 74, 71 to 74
Dynamox you are right
I got this info on SRDF Product Guide.
I am talking about SRDF/Synchronous.
please find the attached table. It shows the SRDF group support .
that table does not have anything that talks about SRDF compatibility between different enginuity versions. I have SRDF/S that works with the version i mentioned above. I just want to make sure people who read this thread don't get confused by statements that SRDF only works between same code revision.
