Virtual Servers and Unisphere for VMAX?
My customer wants to add Virtual Servers in Unipshere for VAMX 1.6.0.8, but could not find any information what access right user needs to have in vCenter.
Is it read only, or is it browse datastores only like w/ ECC. I check product guide for Unisphere for VMAX and couldn't this info. I also checked Tech Book, "Using EMC Symmetrix Storage in VMware vSphere Environments", but no info there either.

Unisphere only supports ESX(i) hosts. vCenter servers are not supported. Root rights are required for ESX with Unisphere.

Hi Elvirk,
Have you check the Unisphere for VMAX installation guide. Hopefully you can find something useful.

Maybe a raw device map also works, but I have not tried either.

Only Esxi hosts are supported and the root user is required .
