i like to see the wwwpn of HBA ports from the 2 SAN controllers.How is this possible?This is in order to perform zoning.How to map a LUN just created to 2 ports from SAN-LUN mapping?When i create a LUN this can be mapped to any port from the 2 SAN controllers.right?tnx

vmax 40k.I need to see wwwpn of HBA from SAN in order to perform zoning.

Since its a 40K, it has been on the floor for some time and there will be zones for the FA ports already in the zone set. The existing zone configuration will surely provide the information you need?

Indeed, the FA WWN ports will already likely have an alias name in the zoning configuration to use in a new zone rather than going to the trouble of working out WWNs.

You can also get the FA port WWN's from the storage team. Thy can run a symcli command to list all the FA port WWNs

You can do it so by Masking Devices with Autoprovisioning Groups.

Please refer to the Solution Enabler array control guide. Please read the guide from page no 147 onwards.
