Virtual Storage Integrator 3.0.1.0 on vSphere 4.1.0 - Help!
Greetings,
We have had mixed success attempting to install this software. Does anyone know of any logs that are pertinent to troubleshooting the plugin installation?
We installed Solutions Enabler v7.1.2-1059 with core and base components first followed by VSI 3.0.1.0.
On our lab vCenter server the plugin shows up and is useable. However on our two other installs the plugin does not show up as available even though the installs complete without error.
Any help is appreciated.

So it is apparent that this plugin is more “old school” like storage vmotion used to be. We have to install the software on every client that we want to run it rather than what we typically do which is to install on the vCenter server and everybody gets the plugin. I am only able to see the plugin on the vCenter server.

you also need to install Solutions Enabler on every workstation that has VSI installed. SE has to talk to your symapi server to pull down array/LUN information.
