vCenter snapshot on isilon
Customer in HK will backup their VM through vCenter by taking snapshot, as Isilon will have vCenter plugin, so the backup job will be handled by Isilon. While the backup job is completed, there will be an snapshot which is GOOD. Then the customer will replicate the GOOD copy to Japan.
The question is :
- Where will the vCenter snapshot be stored in isilon?
- Can the customer use SyncIQ the GOOD snapshot to Japan?
- Can the snapshot be restored in Japan with vCenter?

Hi!
The vCenter plugin for Isilon uses snapshotIQ to do the backups of the VMs. So the backups of the VMs would be stored in /ifs/.snapshot
Since we do not replicate snapshots with SyncIQ, doing what you ask for looks difficult on Isilon.
Maybe someone else on the community here have some good ideas?
