Configure NFS share traceability on VNX NAS

Hello Folks,

Can VNX for file log access to a NFS share for security reporting ?

Any suggestion to achieve that will be very appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Kamal

So in addition to the third party software, the  Security and Compliance suite is a prerequisite ?

actually CEPA support some NFS auditing for a while now.

you are right that CAVA for AV scanning doesnt support NFS

see the "Using the Common Event Enabler for Windows" manual

NFS is a bit tricky though since unlike with CIFS there is no file open/close semantics in the protocol.

For this Security and compliance suite just covers the API needed – in this case VEE/CEE

The API alone just provides a method for auditing – you need a 3rd party program to drive it

I think Varonis has a product that can do this – not sure about others

Yes – you need a CEPA/CEE license to use the API – same as it is for anti virus scanning
