Data Loss
Hai.
My name is Arun. I am using Vmware with EMC storage. Actually yesterday I switch off all device for maintaining. To day morning when I switch on the EMC we cant access our database in EMC. as a result our all vm are not open. When I check the logs Iscsi initiator is showing yellow icon in EMC. After my troubleshooting I can find the database in EMC. But we cant work through this database.So can you help me.What is the reason for this . I need support from EMC. When I trying to make service request I cant put request .

I would suggest to use the customer service live chat option on support.emc.com to open a service request

yes. I enter in service mode .Both SPA and SPB are in service mode . then I execute reinitialize button. Then system ask save service data to local disk.I entered ok. After that any message not coming. How to know reinitializing is done or not

Is this Unity array? The Unisphere GUI is self explanatory under service -> service tasks to reinitialize

If you selected the option correctly, you will see the warnings like data will be erased. Once you proceed, it will take an hour or more to finish (you will not see any progress unless connected to console via IPMI) and need to start a new configuration (including setting up connection utility/licenses to upload/fresh config). Unisphere reports error too after a while.
So you didnt call or chat with EMC ? What is this product/serial # ?

When I check the back side of EMC triangle signal is blinking with blue light.
