FAST VP without Tier1 (SAS) Disk
Hello,
is it possible to do a auto-tiering with only EFDs and NL-SAS disks in a pool?
The pool does not contain any SAS disks.
I know that this is not a good idea from the technical point of view, but I have to answer this question.

Hi Sushant,
thanks for your answer.
I am talking to the customer since 2 dayes trying to explain him that this solution is a mess regarding performance.
The next thing is that he wants to run databases on that system which will definitly be very slow if data is migrated to the NL-SAS disks and will be used there.....
I try to make a solution with
1. 1 TB EFDs and 10TB 10K SAS disks or
2. 1 TB FAST Cache and 10TB NL-SAS disk

Yes, VP will consider them two different tiers and migrate the data accordingly. But just out of curiosity, can you please describe your practical scenario where you have disparate performance needs? Once you access data from EFDs and have established a performance expectation for the users, they will definitely complain if VP migrates the data to the NL-SAS disks and they access it again with a very high response time. You may need to educate the users accordingly
