File System Replication with Replicator V2, Permission issues

We have a team that would like to do some testing with some File Systems.  Rather, than restoring from NDMP Backups.  I decided to perform a "One Time File System Copy".

Config #1:  All our File System are mounted under specific VDMs.

I initiated the Copy with completion.  I did NOT Replicate the VDM.

I then mounted the copy with R/W permissions.

I created a new CIFS server (for testing) and created a Share on the "Copied" File System and mounted it under the new CIFS server.

I'm having all sorts of permissions errors.  First of all, I couldn't even access the newly created share.  I had to modify the permissions and then it started generating errors.

The goal is to simply copy or replicate the file systems, mount them to a new CIFS server so Development can test.

Should I replicate rather than COPY?  If yes, should I replicate the VDM?

Please consider I'm replicating to the SAME array and SAME Data Mover.

Thanks,

Damian
