How to append a Filesystem to an existing filesystem

Hi,

I have a file system of 16TB for CIFS and it is almost full and i cannot further expand the size as this is the limit for a file system. I would like to know if i can create another file system and append that to the existing one?

If yes, can you please share the steps to perform it
