Increasing the capacity of a replicated shared folder

Greetings,

Can anyone tell me the correct procedure for increasing the size of a replicated shared folder?  I tried pausing the replication but the option is still not availabe in the GUI.

I really hope I don't have to delete the replication to increase the size.  That would be a very limiting option to have to resync an entire TB volume to increase it.

Only way to increase the size of the data store which is replicated is,

  • Delete the replication session.
  • Increase the size of the source and destination shared folders.
  • Re-Create replication session.

Dinesh,

has there been any improovement of the expansion integration on replicated Shares from VNXe to VNX?

VNX can handle this on  it's own.

iI not, is there any roadmap to get this fixed?

rgds,

Martin.

Martin,

There is no change in expanding the size of a replicated storage. This is going to be same even in the upcoming maintainance release (MR4). However, it is being considered in the next major product release planned sometime in 2013.

Thanks,

Dinesh.
