Mixing RAID Types in one Storage Pool
Hi All
What is the possiblity of Mixing RAID types in one Storage Pool.
Could i do something like RAID 5 5+1 SAS
RAID 6 6+2 NL SAS
RAID 1 1+1 EFD
In a single storage pool. We have VNX 5700 .
Let me know if you guys needs more details .

Hi,
So, you want to create a storage pool with multiple RAID protection level. Is that what you want..?
Well, i guess, that is not supported for VNX Block OE release 31. In this pools support single RAID protection level..either RAID-5, RAID-6 or RAID-1/0.
But for release 32, yes, it is possible to have multiple RAID protection level.
Suggest you to refer to EMC VNX virtual provisioning whitepaper.
