1. Navisphere have his own help menu, and it is really good, check at right upper side.
2. CX500 is an old CLARiiON box but if you have a newer Flare code ...24 may be.... you can run a wisard to allocate the space not assigned. If navisphere show nothing available, check in each raid group if you have fagmented space, if you have, use the option defrag be aware this are going to have a performance impact. After defrag operation finish you are going to have continue space to bind a new LUN, look for defrag at the help menu.
3. If you have a virtual enviroment you should have Flare 29 but it only run in CX4. http://www.emc.com/collateral/demos/microsites/software/products/navisphere-manager/

On this site you can find many articles on administration tasks for your CX500. Such as expanding currently allocated space.
If you are using ESX 3.5 or higher I would suggest upgrading your storage array to a CX4.
