Test MirrorView A/S with VMware in DR-Scenario
Hi,
we want to use MirrorView A/S to mirror our Vmware-LUNs to another VNX. That works fine after some days of testing.
So, all 6 months we want to test the mirror. I dont want to switch the secondary to primary because i dont want to have downtimes at the production site. Whats the best method to get a test scenario? Snapshot of the secondary? Clone of the secondary? Then i map the copied secondary to the storage group and start the VMs without Network-Card.
Is this OK?

Hi,
Unless and until the secondary mirror LUN is not presented to secondary host, you may take a snap or clone of the LUN and present to the secondary host and test.

Hi Madhu, thanks for your answer. I used a clone and it works fine. Markus
