Two different IP Address on same NAS virtual interface

Hi There,

We have configured NFS shares and have created a virtual device "LACP0" and assigned the IP Address 172.20.100.5.  The existing subnet for NFS is completely used now and our Network Team has released additional subnet for upcoming servers which is 172.20.101.0/24.Can we configure two different IP addresses on the same virtual device? Can 172.20.100.5 and 172.20.101.5 co-exist on same virtual device "LACP0"?

Storage Model: VNX5500 (Unified)

Have a look at this, page 34 and 45, it looks like it is doable. Let us know if this helped.

you need to use VLAN tagging (configuration will need to be done on network switch and on VNX).

yes a device can have many interfaces with different IP addresses.

you need to understand the network config in order to see if it requires VLAN config.

see the VNX manual mentioned for more info
