Unisphere Central fails to log me in

Capture.JPG.jpg

Hi All,

I have been successfully using Unisphere Central from its 3.0 days (java) and now we have the html5 appliance running in a VM, 4.0.2.

Since February, I have been unable to get it to log me in successfully on  any laptop or pc in my office.

I get the login. and after I send that, I get the spinning icon, above.

ONE of my colleagues can connect (and I can't work out why his laptop is different to mine) and I have installed the latest upgrade

Unisphere_Central--upgrade-3.0.0.21364-4.0.2.22542-RETAIL.tgz.bin

but no joy.

Has anyone seen this spinning icon before and if so, can they tell me what they think is wrong.

I seem to have spent days in webex sessions with EMC, but to no avail.

thanks all, David.

Hello David,

It looks like browser or Java issue. Please try with fire fox browser and it should work.

If the issue still persists. try the following.

- Delete browser cache.

- Delete java cache

- Add the Unisphere central IP in Java.

- Reboot the system.

- Try with a different system.

You know that the unisphere central application is in html5 and that there’s no java?

The application works when the service is at SP1, but not on SP2.

What do you mean by SP1 and SP2?

Do you mean SPA and SPB?

Service Pack. The very latest version does not work for me, but gen -1 (sp 1) does.

I have this exact same issue as well on the latest code - i get the login screen, login and it just spins on that icon.

This is initial setup I've literally just deployed the OVF, powered it up, then tried to login with initial credentials.

Hi Rober546,

I sympathise with a fellow sufferer!

Have you raised an SR about this?

If not, then please do so and quote my SR   #80590774

It does not matter if I start at sp2 or upgrade to sp2, it's sp2 that does not work for me.

good luck.
