VNX for file - Quotas from VDM

Hi,

as per article

https://emc--c.na5.visual.force.com/apex/KB_BreakFix_1?id=kA1700000000iiL

There is a workaround for showing quotas on a NFS share from a VDM.

I need to understand how does it work?

Do I need to mount on the client side the link created on the physical datamover as per above article?

It's really not clear.

Thanks.

No.

The document is describing a way to create the symbolic links using the controlstation.

Does it work for a file system mounted on the physical data mover ?

If it doenst then there is point in doing this workaround

Sorry, I've just replied on the other thread.

I've managed to make it work just adding a link as follows om the / folder of the physical data mover

ln -s /root_vdm_2/c-nfs-staff /nas/quota/slot_2/
