VNX5300 Control Station and Data Mover

Hi,

i'm trying to set up a VNX5300 system with one Control Station and one Data Mover.

I can ping the control station and both SP of VNX5300. (x.x.8.93 - x.x.8.94 - x.x.8.95)

I connected to Control Station trought SSH session and he show:

I think the problem is the connection between Control Station and Data mover.

I have wired following the diagram shown on the guide. I only have a doubt, connections between the ethernet ports use a normal cat.5e/6 ethernet cables or they are special cables?

Thanks

Marco

Re: VNX5300 Control Station and Data Mover

I'm not a FILE side person, but I do know that the cables connecting the different internal ethernet ports on the Control Station/Data Mover/SP Ports (block array) are standard Cat5e/6 - the ports are 1Gb.

Re: VNX5300 Control Station and Data Mover

I think the problem was the configuration of the whole system.

At the end, I re-installed the whole system configuring it only in block version (no DataMover and Control Station)

Thanks

Marco

if this is a system covered by EMC support you also need to work with support to get the config data in our internal systems changed.
