VNXe 3200 and replication
Is there currently, or will there be in the near future, ways to do block replication between VNX/VNX2 and the new VNXe 3200, now that the VNXe3200 is build on the MCx architecture?
I am thinking about Mirrorview, SANCopy, RecoverPoint.

Hello Fred,
Currently there is no replication feature available on the new VNXe3200 but in the near future RecoverPoint could be incorporated into VNXe for replication.

When can we expect a remote replication solution for the VNXe3200 ? I can choose to go for VNXe3150, but then we loose FastVP...

Block replication feature is already available now for VNXe3200.
Release notes for 3.1.1.4993502 : Refer page#3 Data Protection Enhancements
Replication Technology WhitePaper
Please upgrade to 3.1.1.4993502 version to avail this feature.

Hi, I've read that VNXe3200 already do a block replication, but and about the file replication ? How it works ? Or doesn't replicate ?

File replication does not work, only block replication works.

Thank You @sunilkumaremc . So, If I have data in block level and other data in shares in VNXe3200, can I do replication only of block data ? File data aren't sent too?
What solution do you suggest to replicate file data inside VNXe3200 ?

RecoverPoint is the way. Technically it should be possible to replicate the LUNs where filesystems belong too, (as if you want a synchronous replica between 2 VNX NAS) but not sure if it's supported. Just asked to the product marketing team... let's see.

@ Umberto Galtarossa Did you get any feedback from the product marketing team? Do you know if there are plans to do native file replication for the VNXe3200 to VNXe3200?
