the specifications when Network port cge0,1,2,3 ports fault

Hi,

Please tell me two question.

1.If cge0,1,2,3 ports break down(This means hardware trouble.),
Is there the method to detect this state?
And What kind of event is displayed if the issue is detected?

I read "Configuring Celerra Events and Notifications".
However, the message that these ports broke down was not found.

2.I read "Configuring Standbys on Celerra".
And I found the following words.

"Data Mover panic: Any hardware faults or software exceptions that may result in a Data Mover panic."

1.Does Failover occur even if all of cge0,1,2,3 ports fault(This means hardware fault of NIC)?
2.Does Failover occur when how much NIC faults?

Hi,

no - if you want to guard against a port, cable or switch failure you should use a fail-safe network or trunking device.

please use the Unified Storage Support forum for general Celerra questions.
