vnx5800 and smis provider
We have EMC SMIS provider installed to gather logs for monitoring in EMC arrays in our environment. Recently we have procured VNX5800 and when we tried to add these in SMIS provider we are getting the following error:
Error: The requested object cannot be found. (com.emc.cmp.osls.se.osl.DiscoveryServices.StorInstanceDiscover():142 C:ERROR_CLASS_SOFTWARE F:ERROR_FAMILY_NOT_FOUND R:1000052 L:2 1000052 : "No objects of the requested type were found" : "SymDiscover Failed" : 2 : 40 : "No devices were found")
Following is the SMIS provider version installed:
SMI-S spec version: 1.6.0
SMI-S Provider version: V4.4.0.0
Solutions Enabler version: V7.4-1506 0.0
Request help to sort this out.

Please check below link.This Kb may give you some idea.
Please ensure the ports 443 and 2163 must be open between the SMI-S Provider host and the VNX array.

Thanks Sameeksha, port 443 is open. We already have few VNX added thru this SMIS provider. The only thing is we are getting is error connecting to VNX5800 which is recently procured. I've looked for latest Solution Enabler (V7.5-1604 0.7) and installed that. The error remains same. Need to get confirmation / documentation from somewhere if the latest VNX2 series are supported in these solution enablers. If we see the error log mentioned in my initial post above it says: F:ERROR_FAMILY_NOT_FOUND

I'm looking for information to configure native SMI-S provider available in VNX 5800 series. Can anyone help me with this?

I would recommend that you contact EMC Support and ask to open a case for SMI-S.
