Server Connectivity question
Hello, we have 2 unity600 with Vplex local and servers connected through VPLEX to back-end storage LUNs that contains mirrors.
But there are some LUNs with no mirrors. Can we connect servers to both VPLEX and back-end Storage simultaneously ? is there any limitation for server connectivity ?

Hello,
one of our customers does this. They have some VPLEX distributed devices for high-availability. But also access some LUNs directly on the Unity where storage mirroring is not required. The same servers access both types of storage.
It makes FC zoning a bit more complicated, hosts have to zones for Unity and VPLEX Front-End. Their setup is single-initiator/single-target zoning, so VPLEX Front-End and Unity Ports are never in the same zone.
