winner on distributed volume can no be changed

Hi there,

we had a issue at a customer site where the datacenter with the VPLEX Cluster-1 went down.

All distributed-volumes are in a consistency group which have Cluster-1 defined as winner.

We wanted to change the winner on only some of the distributed-volumes so they could be accessed in the operational datacenter.

So we run the following command:

VPlexcli:/distributed-storage/distributed-devices> ds dd declare-winner --distributed-device /distributed-storage/distributed-devices/LUN_0018_VMFS --cluster /clusters/cluster-2 --force

The behavior was not as expected - we received the following error message:

ds dd declare-winner:  Evaluation of < > failed.

cause:                 Failed to declare winner cluster 'cluster-2'.

cause:                 No conflict detected on distributed Device 'LUN_0018_VMFS' at cluster 2

We then decided to change the winner on the consistency-group which worked fine.

Does anyone have a idea why we couldn't just change the winner on some of the distributed volumes?
