Re: Using Virtual Isilon with ViPR

I did not check, because I have short lines with Isilon and could get my hands on a license.

Get your self a 90 day key from your EMC sales rep. Should be easy.

That is correct. You need the license for smart quota for Isilon.

Data services create a directory on the file array for object storage( in Isilon its the /ifs/sos/<tenantname> directory) and it's size is determined by the quota. Not sure about other file arrays needs for quota licensing. Would need to check the ViPR Matrix.

Reach out to your local Isilon se to get a eval license

Also, the command isi_get_license will retrieve a license if the VM is within the EMC network for those EMC'ers out there.

Do you know the adddress for this command?

It requires an hostname

vIsilon-1# isi_get_license

Failed to retrieve URL: <urlopen error [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known>

Hi,

Command is not allowed from outside EMC network,

If you need a license ask your EMC Rep for a demo license.
