Is ViPR Block deployed the same way as ViPR Object and HDFS? Does ViPR Block use the same ViPR Services engine?

Is ViPR Block deployed the same way as ViPR Object and HDFS? Does ViPR Block use the same ViPR Services engine?

No, ViPR block uses Scale IO. ScaleIO is its own software stack, deployed separately, and is designed for High IO workloads and different use cases than ViPR Object and ViPR HDFS. A customer can, however, deploy and provision all ViPR services from one management interface and instance of ViPR Controller.
