Me too! Everything was working under v1.6, but same error as above in v1.7. ESXi 5.1U1. vCenter 5.1.0 947673

My upgrade process: unregister vCenter in 1.6, then shut down and delete the 1.6 vApp; then clean install and configure the 1.7 vApp.

I closed the client, reboot, deleted IE cache, rebooted again et tried again.

ldait: Did you close the plugin (i.e. vSphere client connected to vCenter) before clearing the cache?
