False Alarms

Currently running the trial of vFoglight and very impressed so far.
However, we keep getting false alarms such as:
  • Virtual Machine xxx has recently been powered off. This rule detects a VM being powered off or paused.
  • Logical drive C:\ on virtual machine xxx has 5.81% available and 94.19% full. Fires this rule when the disk utilization reaches less than 5% full.
Even if we acknowledge and clear the alarm it reappears. In the case of the latter we have made more space available so the alarm is not applicable.

Any ideas how to fix?

Hello infra1234,
Issue #1 there is a groovy script that will fix it if the VMs for which you are getting alarms do not exist
Issue#2 The Rule firing the alarm can be tweaked but would need to take a look at your environment
My suggestion would be to open a Support case.

Have you tried restarting the collector & connector services for the vFog VMware agent?
