Are there any free anti-virus programs that run on Vista 64-bit OS and that are free?
Also is the MCAfee Security Center that comes with the 32-bit Vista for the XPS M1530 compatible with 64-bit?
can you give links
Avira's free AntiVir Personal supports Windows XP x64 Edition and 64 bit Vista:
Alwil's free avast! Home Edition also fully supports the 64 bit Windows platform:
Both of these free AVs I have used (although not with Vista nor 64 bit), and can recommend either without reservation, based on the experience I have had with XP, and what many of the regulars report in this board. Grisoft's AVG Free AV also supports Vista x64, but frankly is not an AV I can recommend, for several reasons.
