BIG PROBLEM - NEED HELP ASAP !!!

Hi All,

My Dell Inspiron 1525 has just hit me with a big problem...

Every time i turn Notebook on it boots up, after 5 or so minutes its shuts down - every now and again an alert box telling me "The Parameter is Incorrect".

I have seen many solutions online, none of them seem to work as i cannot stay on long enough for the system to get going, its then shuts me out in the middle of a Virus scan, I have tried to do an online scan but again it keeps shutting down. It seems i only have about 3 - 5 minutes to get something done before it shuts me out..

Any Ideas??
