Dimension 9100 with XP lost it's restore points?
Last week I could restore to a point, but this week, all my restore points are gone? Is this a malicious virus affecting my machine and is my only option to restore to original discs?? Help

We need more info.
There are many causes for System Restore points to be lost, including malware infection, disabling System Restore, program conflicts, etc. If the restore points are truly lost, they cannot be recovered.
Out of interest, why were you wanting to restore to a previous date? If your system is running normally, then you want to make sure you can create new restore points manually. If you are having serious problems, and no restore points, a reinstall might be required but we need more info before taking that drastic a solution.

Also, was an up to date AntiVirus installed prior to this problem?
Are you using a firewall (XP's or other)?
Have you run any security program scans (antivirus, antispyware, antimalware)? Was anything detected?
