If you are not on dialup, you can disable that.

Info here:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/DSC.exe-1245.html

You can use msconfig to do that:  http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/msconfig_win7.html

(Sorry, for some reason I cannot post live links at Dell today.)

DSC.EXE could also be the dell suport center file. You can research this here.  I also have a XPS 8100 and do not see this running in the processes.

I do not recommend the Computer Hope website as posted above.

The OP did not include enough information. If it is Dell Support Center, it should be located here:  C:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\GS_Agent

If there is still a question, please post a HijackThis log on the Malware Removal forum and we'll take a look.

Here is a link to someone else who had a similar problem.  This may or may not be your problem.

Did you see this file on your task manager from the first time you installed your windows? or its new? In my opinion, if you have found this program recently, you should be careful about it. I suggest you to download and install Spyware doctor on your system trial version and see if your computer has spywares? I trust Spyware doctor more than any other anti spyware program.

bestis1980, you have replied to a topic that is several months old.

I would suggest that anyone having a malware problem post on the Malware Removal Forum.
