Google searches redirected

Hi, thanks in advance for help. My google has started to redirect searches to website that have nothing to do with results. I use AVG free virus protection and it indicated a tdlcmd.dll virus that keeps recurring in the system 32 folder on my computer. Below is the hijackthis.log

You have a suspicious file I would like to have a look at.

1. We need to make sure we can see hidden files and folders

To enable the viewing of Hidden and System files follow these steps:
  • Right click on Start and select Explore.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
After the new window appears select the View tab.
Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
    Click Yes To confirm
Press the Apply button and then the OK button.

2. Please go HERE

Put Your Name, and Dell HJT forum.

In the file to submit box, click Browse.

Using Windows Explorer locate the file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\iaStor.sys

In the comments tell them that I asked you to upload the file
Then Select Send File.

December 9th, 2009 08:00

OK I have submitted the file as requested. Thanks

Did you get the file from the location I indicated?

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\iaStor.sys

Or did you get it from another folder?

December 9th, 2009 16:00

I got it from the folder indicated. Problem?

Do you have the XP OS (operating System) cd that came with the PC? We may need it.

December 15th, 2009 20:00

Hey, Did you get my last response??

I did not receive your reply, because it was posted as a solution and not as a reply.

No we are not going to do a reformat. We are going to try to repair the install.

Having the OS (operating system) disc ready, follow the steps outlined HERE for a Repair install.

Reply when complete, and see if that resolves your issue. If not reply and we will do it another way.
