HELP!!! Error message about D: NTFS Volume Label RECOVERY appears when turning on my laptop (XPS M1530)

My laptop isn't more than 2 years old and I seem to be getting this error message when I turn on my laptop. One day it was fine, then it randomly turned itself off, and next thing I knew it wouldnt load windows. As a result I re-installed windows vista using the CD that came with my laptop, but I still keep getting the same error message up! I don't know how to get rid of it it's driving me insane!

The error appears just before the windows logo appears on screen. It says something like D: NTFS Volume Label RECOVERY. Then it says that the disk needs to be checked for consistency (D) but then it says that there is a corrupt master file table and as a result the checkdisk function is aborted.

How do I get rid of this? Someone please help!!

Oh and one other thing, I've tried restoring it to the original factory settings using the command prompt method but it keeps saying the file is corrupt or missing so I dont know wot to do!!
