KB3156417 ?
I got offered updates from MS today for Win 7+SP1, 32-bit, including one that's related to upgrading to Win 10 (KB3123862) - No Thanks!
Another on the list is KB3156417, but when I click the More Information link on the update page, the MS site says "This page doesn’t exist."
Not going to install it unless somebody explains that one to me. Google didn't help...
Thanks!

So does that mean kb3156417 will install all those insidious updates which enable the upgrade to Win 10? NO THANKS!
BTW: A friend just told me that her system was forcibly upgraded to Win 10 today. She booted up and the upgrade took over and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
MS is totally out of control and somebody needs to stop those jerks from seizing control of OUR PCs!

If, like me, you see no redeeming value in Win 10, you may find this of value: Never10.
I finally found this simple utility after spending the past year picking and choosing what updates to allow to be installed. With the new 'roll-up' scheme it will likely be even more valuable. By setting certain registry cells, it utilizes the inherent Windows capability to BLOCK the forced upgrade to Win10.
Seems to work for me, YMMV.

Windows 10 is the best operating system yet, as long as your computer is compatible and as long as you don't approach it blindly but are familiar with the settings. However, if you would like a comparison of the various applications that suppress the Windows 10 upgrade notification, they are listed here: http://spywarehammer.com/index.php/topic,16652.0.html
