Kazaa Spyware

A few weeks ago I stupidly dlled Kazaa (not lite, the one with a lot of spyware), and I think it totally messed up my pc. Like I have 3 Ghz, 1 Gb Ram, Geforce Fx 5200 and I personally think that for example it takes longer to start up and also soemtimes it starts up with 800 by 600 resolution. I have AdAware and Norton 2004. AdAware actually didnt find the things that Norton found. Norton found like 8 gator objects but it couldnt delete them, so I deleted them manually. However, I am still not sure if everything is removed because it still isnt going as fast I think. For example I use Blender and even though the benchmark on my new pc is about 7 times that of my old, I render slightly slower than on my old. Like a 20 second render on my old would be 22 on my new. Another thing is occasionaly Norton comes with a popup saying it just blocked a NetBus Trojan Horse, so im guessing that that has something to do with my computer being slowed down. If anyone has any ideas how I can fix this besides a full system restage I would greatly appreciate it cause im really mad because I basically just got this PC like a month ago. Thanks a lot!

I can't vouch for the information here, but see if any of it might prove useful.

There is a kazaa uninstaller here:

http://castlecops.com/downloads-cats-14-10-10.html

Note there is a problem described for it, I am not knowledgable on kazaa and its issues, so I can not give you more information.

Decide whether you do or do not want to run that.

Then I would suggest the a2 trojan tool

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/

And Spybot and Adaware, instructions here:

http://www.cjwdavis.co.uk/s-a.html

After that you can follow jimw's instructions in this thread for running and posting a hijackthis log at a help site.
