PC Running Extremely Slow - Fake Anti-Virus Removed Earlier this Year

Hello, earlier this year in February or March 2009, I had a bogus anti-virus program removed and things seemed to run fine. For the last few months, however, my PC has been running progressively slower until it's at the point now of being nearly unusable many times. I do have Norton Internet Security 2009 installed and running. Additionally, I recently installed the free editions of Super Anti-Spyware and Ad-Aware although I do not allow these two applications to run in continous, real-time mode (I just perform scans from time to time).
