Not only are they in the top 5- but they are the top 3! For once, a magazine review I can largely agree with, at least as far as the free AVs go.
Notable by its absence in this list is AVG Free, and rightly so.
As far as the top 5 paid AVs go, I note they are all the new 2011 versions. And I also see all the ads for the #1 choice, in the same link. For those looking for a good paid AV, I would wait to see what AV-Comparatives says in its year-end round-up later this month, which will include tests of the 2011 versions.
Caveat emptor!

Many security sites no longer recommend AVG, and have removed it from their lists of free software.

My choices according to my experiences are: 1) Avast 2) Avira 3) AVG and then nothing else.
