Re-direct to dell/google page

I am puzzled by the following.  I go to the boston.com website and click on a sports article.  As soon as I do it, the page re-directs to another page whose url is http://www.google.com/hws/dell-usuk-rel/afe?hl=en&channel=us&s=http://multimedia.boston.com/fedsearch?q.  It apparently is called the Dell Search Page.

The first message on this page states, Sorry, we couldn't find http://multimedia.boston.com/fedsearch%3Fq.  The rest of the page has every conceivable link with the word 'boston' in it, including boston.com!!

This does not happen with any other article I open on boston.com - just the sports articles!!!  It does not happen on any other website.  Only the sports articles on boston.com.

What is this and how can I get this to stop occurring??

You have one of the Dell/Google redirector add-ons (pre-loaded by Dell) in your Internet Explorer, which can (and should) be disabled.

To selectively disable add-ons, in your IE:
      Click on Tools>Manage Add-ons in IE6, or Tools>Manage Add-ons>Enable or Disable Add-ons in IE7
A "Manage Add-ons" dialog box will appear.
Hi-lite a selection to disable it, using the radio buttons at the bottom.
The one you want to disable likely will contain one or more of the following terms (or similar):
      Dell
      Google
      AFE
      redirector
      assistant
      CBrowserHelperObject
      BAE.dll
