Trend Micro Internet Security 15-month subscription is only a 30-day trial
My purchase of a Dell Vostro 3700 was advertised as including a 15-month subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security for three computers. After installing and registering the software on the Trend Micro website, I was redirected to a web page thanking me for installing the 30-day trial, and I was offered an immediate upgrade to a 12-month subscription for $69.99. I decided to uninstall Trend Micro and renew my subscription to McAfee for half that price. If the price for the 15-month subscription to Trend Micro was included in my purchase, I believe that it should be refunded, and that Dell should not imply to purchasers that it is a free subscription.

I sympathize with you.
We keep seeing all sorts of problems with pre-loaded security software from Dell in this forum. In my own experience over 10 years of buying Dell computers, I too have always ended up uninstalling them, for one reason or another.
Although I tend to favor the good free AVs, firewalls and anti-malware programs available, I always recommend one get them (whether free or paid) direct from the vendor. I don't even register or activate any that come pre-installed.
