Updates 5/14/19 - "Microsoft+Adobe" Tuesday, CCleaner

Today is "Microsoft Tuesday" --- the SECOND Tuesday of the month --- on which Microsoft is expected to release its monthly cycle of Windows security updates. Based on previous history, they should become available at 1 P.M. [USA - Eastern DAYLIGHT SAVING Time]

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Acrobat DC and Reader DC, for Windows.  

 Version 2019.012.20034

 

These updates address critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

With acknowledgment to Corrine for posting at Landzdown:

Due to the severity of CVE-2019-0708 (Remote Desktop Services Remote Code Execution Vulnerability), Microsoft also released KB 4500331 for versions of Windows that no longer receive mainstream support:  Windows XP SP3 x86, Windows XP Professional X64 SP2, Windows XP Embedded SP3 x86 as well as Windows Server 2003.

This update is not being pushed through Automatic Updates.   Rather, one needs to go to KB 4500331 to click on the link to Microsoft Update Catalog to download the appropriate update.

Windows 10 cumulative update KB4494441 installs twice on some devices:
