LOU:

A reformat is probably not required, but further investigation is needed.

1) It appears from your info that you may be running two Anti-virus programs: Webroot AV and Avanquest's Fix-it Utility 9.0. If so, you should know that running two AVs can lead to conflicts and degrade your virus protection; you should uninstall one.

2) I'm not familiar with Fix-it Utility, but from its website info it appears to include a registry cleaner. Registry cleaners confer no benefit, and in the opinion of many trusted experts should be avoided, as they can cause serious problems. If you decide to keep this utility, I recommend you avoid using this feature.

I would recommend you download the free diagnostic utility HijackThis, run a scan, and copy/paste the logfile generated in a forum dedicated to HijackThis analysis by experts. There is such a board here at the Dell Forums, but as this site is to undergo maintenance in the next few days, you should probably post elsewhere.

I can recommend SpywareHammer as an excellent website for HJT analysis. You will have to register there, and full instructions on how to post a HJT log are here:

Do not attempt to use HijackThis to remove anything yourself, without expert help. Most of what it finds is benign, or required.

Good luck!

Lou, as Joe mentioned in his post above, normally we can handle logs at Dell Community Forums, but because Dell will be performing maintenance on the boards during the next few days, we suggest that you register with your same username and repost your log here: http://spywarehammer.com/
SpywareHammer has trained helpers and Microsoft MVP's on staff who will be glad to assist you.

If you prefer a different forum, other forums that handle HijackThis logs are listed on Trend Micro's page here:
http://hjt-data.trend-braintree.com/hjt/analyzethis/index.php?report=7784239

Post at only ONE forum. Be patient. The forums are busy, but someone will help you as soon as possible.
