Randomly stops playing Media

I have a vostro 2510

I don't know what's causing it, but when I play any type of media, video or audio, no matter the software, the softkey to Stop will trigger and the media stops. I cannot figure out how to disable the softkeys, nor what could be causing the stop key specifically to fire. None of the other keys fire at all without being touched. ONLY the stop key. Any help or suggestions would be good.
