Vostro 1015: Brightness option not visible (Windows 7)

Hi,

I can't seem to find the brightness option anywhere in my Vostro 1015. I clicked on the Battery icon, and looked in the Power options. I remember adjusting the brightness some 2 years back, so the brightness option disappeared after that. I have Windows 7. Please let me know any solutions.

On the keyboard you would use the keys below.

	Increases brightness on the integrated display only (not on an external monitor).
	Decreases brightness on the integrated display only (not on an external monitor).

Also, in the bios Option Description
LCD Brightness This option (represented by a slider bar for On Battery and On AC) sets the panel brightness when the ambient light sensor is off.

I have tried that. It doesn't work. I can't seem to find the brightness slider/ option anywhere.

Fn + ↑ Upwards Arrow key (to increase brightness)
Fn + ↓ Downwards Arrow key (to decrease brightness)
