Vostro 5481 ram not in real speed

Bought new vostro 5481, but the ram is at speed of 2400 MHz instead of 2666 Mhz as it should be. The bios is updated and there is no xmp option. How can I fix it?

If you have an 8th generation Intel CPU, you cannot fix it. The text below is from the Dell support page for the 5481.

Speed

2666 Mhz

  • NOTE: The 2666 MHz memory functions at 2400 MHz for 8th Generation Intel Core processors.

Then why ship with 2666 MHz?
