is my dell vostro 3580 laptop somehow able to run windows 7?
hello,
I have a dell vostro 3580 laptop with windows 10 pro but i don't like windows 10, I am wanting to install Windows 7 onto it. I was looking for drivers for it but there aren't any. I went to my uefi bios and when I checked the legacy rom option, it said: "Windows 7 and 8.1 are not supported on this system. Attempting to install any legacy operating system will prevent the computer to boot. Only Windows 10 and Linux are supported". When I saw this message I got scared and asked this question. I don't care if it will boot through cheaty / not official methods. All I want to do is to run Windows 7.
thanks in advance.

No, it will not work and with no drivers available the system will not function properly anyway. And Windows 7 does not have any support so that leaves your system wide open for hacking and virus infection. I am not sure this would help but have a look at this web page.

An alternative -- open shell, which will replace the Windows 10 interface with whatever older Windows interface you want to have.
With it running, you have the same interface Windows 7 has -- together with the secure underpinnings Windows 7 cannot give you.
