hi i need help with installing vspex blue. I have connected all nodes of vspex blue to my cisco switch 2960 and one port from switch to the laptop(management pc) the switch has no configs. i understand that the default ip for the vspex blue is 192.168.10.200/24 ... and my pc is under 10.210 with gw of 10.254... yes im not able to reach the appliance. is it compulsary to use a TOR switch ?
If it's through an SFP+ port. Make sure you are using compatible SFP's.
What do u mean sfp ports?
What do u mean?
TOR is just a label for the switch/switches connected to VxRail/VSPEX Blue. You can use any switch as soon as the network requirements are met:
- IPv6 Multicast enabled on Management VLAN
- IPv4 Multicast enabled on vSAN VLAN
- The ports connected to VxRail allow all VLANs: Management, vSAN, vMotion + VM VLANs.
Connect the "Management PC" to a an access port with Management VLAN. Assign additional IP from VxRailManager subnet: for example 192.168.10.199 and then you should be able to access VxRailManager VM.
If the management VLAN is tagged, you need to configure all Nodes. Follow the installation procedure.
Is there a management port to configure each node? Im kind of confused .. do i need four seperate ips? For each node?
