I have the same problem. Every half an hour, these Dell processes drill WMI and use a lot of CPU power.

What for???

I have noticed this as well, found the offending process by looking at the WMI logs via the event viewer and it pointed to the DDVDataCollector.exe as the client process ID. I saw that there are three items installed along with the Dell Supportassist software, I removed the control agent, and my WMI provider Host cpu usage went from ~25-30% down to 0.
