Can’t log in on xps 15

Hello,

I forgot my password for my laptop and I can’t get to use the “I forgot my password” option because my laptop isn’t connecting to the internet that is available. It connects for a second n drops off. What to do?

move storage to a dock

buy new drive

reistall windows clean

during setup DO NOT connect to internet

Make a local account

say no no no no no no no no no no no to advertising ID, cortana, microsoft account, etc

After declining almost everything. go online and activate windows

then copy all of your data files back to your pc

then reinstall all of your apps
