Dell G5 5587 Nvidia Drivers

Hello,

I would like to ask when the new Nvidia gtx driver (398.82) will be available for Dell G5 5587 (GTX 1060 max-q). I tried to download the driver from Nvidia but when i try to install it it gives message "The graphics driver cannot find any compatible graphics hardware." and the last driver which comes from dell is 397.93.

Thank you in advance!

Same Problem here. I have trouble using the Blender 3D software. The developers recommend to install the newest NVIDIA drivers since there are known issues with the older drivers.

Dell has no newer driver and the newest original NVIDIA driver for mobile GTX10xx says that the hardware is not compatible.

I really hope someone from dell to check this discussion and provide a solution for this driver issue  ...

Guys I had a live chat with Dell support team and they told me that, so far they do not have information when the new driver will be released, but it will automatically notify us when they do ...

When I try to install the newest driver it says "Your windows version is incompatible..". I am using Windows 10 Pro.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Same happened with my one. I am using Windows 10 home. But this got resolved when I used the express installation instead of the custom installation.

I recently had the same problem if I told Nvidia I had a 1060 and windows 10 and just downloaded the driver, it told me I had an incompatible version of windows. So instead I downloaded geforce experience from nvidia and it was able to download the correct driver which seems to work fine (I checked and it was both different contents and file name). I installed it using custom rather than express and it was fine. I didn't look to see what was wrong with the driver that complained about the incompatible version of windows, I'm assuming nvidia has some problem they haven't noticed. I've not tried the latest intel display driver yet, because it claimed that it's not compatible due to me having the dell version installed. But that is usually just a case of uninstalling dells driver before upgrading & I haven't gotten round to it. I'd love to know if there are any differences between the dell version of these and the originals.
